Introduction to TÜV SÜD Certification

TÜV SÜD is an international certification body providing professional management system certification services. TÜV SÜD possesses professional international management system auditing and certification skills, conducting testing and certification in areas such as quality, environment, energy, safety, risk, health, education, business continuity, and social responsibility. The fields covered include automotive, railway, aviation, mechanical engineering, information technology, banking, finance, and healthcare services.

The TÜV mark is a safety certification mark specifically designed by TÜV Germany for component products, widely accepted in Germany and Europe. Companies can also apply for a CB certificate concurrently with the TÜV mark application, thereby obtaining certificates from other countries through conversion.

Home appliance regulations worldwide are based on the IEC standard IEC 60335;

Among them, European standards are closest to international standards; European standards are divided into two parts: Part I EN 60335-1 provides general requirements for home appliances; Part II EN 60335-2 provides specific requirements for various types of home appliances, containing dozens of standards in this part.

TUV Certification Product Scope

TUV's main business scope includes: product certification, system certification, industrial standards such as safety certification (GS), quality system certification, and RoHS testing.

Product scope includes: power supply products, audio-visual products, small household appliances, large household appliances, computer and peripheral products, and lighting products, further subdivided as follows:

TUV-CE Certification: Wi-Fi products, communication power supplies, UPS, inverters, adapters;

TUV-GS Certification: power supplies, LCD monitors, LED displays, induction cookers, etc.;

TUV-CB Certification: household appliances, sporting goods, electrical equipment, kitchenware, etc.;

TUV-Mark Certification: LED panel lights, LED fluorescent lights, body scales, etc.;

TUV Chemical Testing: RoHS 2.0 for electronic products, PAHs for household appliances, REACH certification, LFGB testing for juicers, etc.;

TUV Certification Factory Inspection

Initial Factory Inspection

Before the factory inspection, the factory needs to prepare the following documents:

1. Company organizational chart;

2. Quality control flowchart;

3. The position, responsibilities, and work status of the quality department within the factory;

4. Personnel information (training plans and records for QC personnel and key workstations, appointment letters, special process operation qualification certificates, etc.);

5. Relevant documents for incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, and finished product shipment inspection, such as inspection specifications, work instructions, etc.;

--Inspection conditions (environment, equipment, metrology/calibration status, personnel);

--Storage and labeling of items to be inspected, qualified products, and defective products;

--Implementation of incoming material inspection (work instructions: including sampling standards, AQL level, inspection methods and judgment criteria; personnel operating capabilities, test records, judgment and release, etc.);

--Sampling inspection before shipment (final inspection);

--Work instructions for sampling inspection (sampling standards: AQL level and inspection methods); --Spot check records;

--Supplier audit (audit records);

At that time, TUV engineers will inspect the documents and conduct on-site inspections and communicate with your company.

Annual Factory Inspection

The documents required for the annual factory inspection and the inspection process are basically the same as the initial factory inspection. However, the annual factory inspection must include a product conformity check. The factory must submit the documents required for the conformity check. Specific requirements can be found in the Factory Inspection User Manual.

TUV Certification Cycle

The standard time is 2-3 weeks. Expedited service is available for an additional fee.
